Beginner workshops are available at The Glass Shack. You will learn how to cut glass; what shapes can (and can't) easily be made; how to build glass pieces and much more. Come along with an idea for what you'd like, make it, fire it in the kiln and either collect it or have it shipped to your home (small charge may apply for p&p cost). Please be aware that some items require more than one firing and so can take up to 5 days to complete.
Various workshop options are available and are suitable for individuals or groups of up to 6 people. Each workshop is individually booked to suit everyone involved - there are no set days that you have to be available for. Morning or afternoon workshops run for 2-3 hours, normally beginning either 10am or 2pm and cost £50 per person for one or two people attending or £40 per person for up to 6 attendees, inclusive of tuition, having fun, light refreshments and the unique piece of glass art that you make. Exceptionally, it may be possible to take groups of up to 8 people - please enquire directly.
In a typical session, you can make either: a wall or window hanger; or a suncatcher; or a small bowl*...just bring your imagination with you and see where you can go!
Fancy making a day of it? Full day workshops are available to book for 3-6 persons and run from 10am to 4pm (approx) including a light lunch and refreshments. In a full day workshop you will be able to make two pieces of glass art*. The cost for a full day is £80 per person and would be perfect for Birthday parties, Hen parties, family get togethers, rainy holiday days, Team Building days, etc. Please contact me directly for further information and to discuss your requirements.
Regrettably, these workshops are not suitable for under 10 years. However, your youngsters under this age are welcome to join the rest of the family in their morning/afternoon glass fusion experience and make a wall hanging/suncatcher, without having to cut or break any glass, priced at only £20 per child. The perfect activity for a rainy holiday day...yes, sometimes it does rain, even in sunny Cornwall!
Come to the wonderful South East Cornwall countryside for your unique glass experience. If the weather is fine, we can take refreshments in the garden area overlooking the glorious views to Bodmin moor in the distance.

Our Taster sessions are just a mini version of a normal workshop where you and everyone else in the group will make the same thing, a suncatcher or wall hanger, following the instructions of your tutor, Caroline.
You will cut your glass using the pattern you are supplied with, then build your suncatcher or wall hanger with your pieces and use other ready made glass pieces to decorate it. Then it's off to the kiln to fire overnight and your own personal suncatcher or wall hanger will be ready for you the next day.
Taster Sessions are held throughout the year and are advertised on Facebook - do not forget to LIKE our page to keep in touch! Cost per person is £20 and the workshop will last around 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on progress.
